We are getting married at The Venetian in Sept 09 and the venetian staff has been so helpful. I am so pleased with my package which includes the site, an officiant (my dads a Reverend so I will be using HIM)flower allowances, live music, photos...TONS of stuff. And they provide a wedding coordinator to pull all of the planning together. I am also getting room deals for my guests and having the reception right across from our wedding site at Postrio. It has been SO easy for me to plan as I am in MN also. I do not think I would have been able to work it all out from way out here if it were not for the wonderful wedding coordinator! They have made everything so easy and low stress I certainly suggest finding a wedding coordinator etc.

I, too, am getting married in the spring of 2008...but I not only live here in Vegas, I am a chauffeur!!! So, I have lots of ideas for you...but let me know more of what you are looking for - I agree OFF strip is better, although not necessarily cheaper. The chapels ON the strip or in the hotels get quantity weddings, so they can offer cheaper package rates for the ceremony...the reception - definitely go off strip for better prices and not so much hustle-bustle! I think you can do much better than Sergio's, although they have decent food. let your fingers do the walking...ask questions and don't be afraid to inquire about having it done YOUR way. There's a wedding site in the Northwest part of town - about 20 miles away from the strip- that is quite nice actually! AND the $$ is great! You can do just the ceremony, a reception, or combo - they have packages available that takes care of flowers, photos, cake, minister, everything except your clothes, license and rings!! Check out this website: www.the-grove.com and see if that suits your needs, too. Congrats!!!
